Mutations

Everything you need to master multipliers, climb the tiers, and unlock the rarest drops.

🍀 900x Luck

In Kick a Lucky Block, the Mutation System is the core mechanic that transitions players from "Average" to "Multi-Trillionaire." Mutations don't just transform the visual appearance of your Brain Rot Units; more importantly, they grant independent Value Multipliers that stack on top of a unit's base production.

To unlock the rarest evolutions, make sure your Luck System is maxed out and you have enough Kick Power to reach the high-value drops in the later zones.

Mechanics & Rules

When designing your base or planning long-term progression, you must understand these fundamental facts:

  • Non-Stackable: Each unit can only possess one mutation at the time of drop. Once a unit has a mutation, it cannot be modified or added to via post-processing.
  • Unit Type Compatibility: Mutation multipliers directly amplify the $/sec of standard units. For Percentage Units (e.g., Dragons), the mutation does not change the percentage bonus (e.g., 2% remains 2%), but it drastically increases the unit's base cash value.
  • Spawn on Impact: Mutations are generated the instant the Lucky Block shatters. You must successfully retrieve the unit and place it in your base for the multiplier to take effect.
  • Distance Correlation: While random, the further the block lands from the starting point (i.e., entering high-tier zones), the higher the raw probability of spawning high-tier mutations.
  • Multiplier Logic: The mutation multiplier acts directly on the unit's base $/sec (Cash per second).

Calculation Formula:

Total Income = Base Unit Production × Mutation Multiplier

Mutation Tier List

The following data is based on April 2026 live testing, covering all known mutation tiers and their respective multipliers.

MutationMultiplierRarityVisual Description
Emerald1.2xCommonUnit emits a faint green fluorescent glow.
Blood1.5xUncommonUnit turns dark red with faint red particle effects.
Gold2.0xRareSolid gold body with a bright metallic sheen.
Diamond2.5xRareShimmering blue crystalline effect; high luster.
Electric3.0xEpicSurrounded by white or blue lightning pulses.
Plasma4.0xMythicWrapped in a blue-purple orb with flowing particles.
Molten5.0xGodlyGlowing lava textures with rising flame effects.
Radioactive8.0xSecretIconic neon green with thick radioactive smoke.
Nuclearosis15.5x+OG / EventDistorted space-time ripples (Exclusive to OG Area).

Maximizing Mutation Chances

Relying on "Blind Kicking" alone rarely yields mutations above Radioactive. High-level players combine the following systems to increase efficiency:

🍀 Luck Stacking

  • Multiplicative Scaling: Luck is not additive. The final calculation is:
Final Luck = (Base Luck + Gamepass) × Server Multiplier × Potion
  • Server Luck Boosts: Attempt pulls during 2x, 4x, or 8x Server Luck events for the best chance at Electric tier and above.
  • Distance Buff: Entering the OG Area provides a built-in luck boost often exceeding 900x. This is the optimal time to use personal potions. If you need the full formula and event timing, use the Luck System Guide.

⚡ Power & Precision

  • Perfect Kick: Precision timing increases distance and provides a slight "quality bias" at the moment of impact.
  • Zone Strategy:
    • Early Game: Target Gold or Diamond mutations for initial capital.
    • End Game: Nuclearosis is virtually impossible to obtain outside of the OG Area, so improving kick distance control is mandatory.

Survival & Risk Management

Top-tier units spawn at extreme distances, presenting a high retrieval risk:

🌊 Tsunami & Visual ID

Higher mutations often trigger more aggressive waves (e.g., Admin Wave).

  • Visual Quick-Check: If you see Neon Green Smoke (Radioactive) or Black-Red Ripples (Nuclearosis), sprint regardless of the risk. If it's a standard white-glow unit and the wave is close, abandon it.
  • Stat Requirement: Impossible Waves in the Hacked Zone require a Movement Speed of 85+ for a reliable escape.

Regional Layout Strategies

As a player progresses, the base layout should evolve to maximize ROI (Return on Investment):

1. Early Zones (Rare - Epic)

  • Goal: Pure Quantity.
  • Strategy: Fill your base with any unit you can retrieve.
  • Layout: Replace non-mutated units with Emerald or Blood tiers as soon as they drop.

2. Mid-Tier Zones (Legendary - Mythic)

  • Goal: Multiplier Hunting.
  • Strategy: Mutations begin to outclass the base values of higher zones.
  • Layout: Prioritize any unit with a 4.0x (Plasma) multiplier or higher. A Radioactive (8.0x) unit from a lower zone is often better than a standard unit from your current zone.

3. Advanced Zones (Divine - Hacked)

  • Goal: Balancing Survival and Power.
  • Strategy: Focus on "Anchor" units with high multipliers.
  • Layout: Keep your best Molten (5.0x) or Radioactive (8.0x) units in core slots. Only replace a Radioactive Legendary if you find at least a Gold/Diamond Hacked unit.

4. End-Game (OG Area)

  • Goal: The "Dragon" Meta.
  • Strategy: Exponential growth using a mix of high-base units and percentage buffs.
  • Layout: 60% Slots: Nuclearosis (15.5x) or Radioactive (8x) units from the OG Area.
  • Layout: 40% Slots: Dragon units (the % bonus multiplies the massive output of your mutated OG units).

FAQ

Q1: Can I "reroll" a unit to get a mutation later?

No. Mutations only generate at the moment of impact. While limited-time "Reroll" events occasionally occur, there is currently no permanent way to add a mutation to an existing unit.

Q2: Why did I get a "None" mutation in the OG Area?

Zones determine the loot pool and Luck floor, but mutations are still RNG-based. High luck significantly increases the chance, but does not guarantee a mutation.

Q3: Does the multiplier affect Rebirth points?

No. Multipliers only affect Cash production. Rebirth points are usually calculated based on your total net worth or highest kick distance.

Q4: Will I keep the unit if the Tsunami kills me?

No. If you die before reaching the shore, the unit is lost forever unless you spend Robux for an "Instant Revive."

Q5: Is Radioactive the same across all zones?

The multiplier (8x) is the same, but the base value is not. A Radioactive unit from the Hacked Zone is worth significantly more than one from the Rare Zone.

Q6: What graphics settings are recommended?

Set Graphics Quality to 5+ to ensure particle effects (like Radioactive smoke) are visible from a distance, allowing for faster decision-making.
